Transformation

Sylvie was kind of a pill this morning. Woke up on the wrong side of bed, or still tired, and spent breakfast whining and frustrated. We went out for a long walk and visit to the park after that, and she transformed back into herself. The walk and outside time just cured whatever ailed her.

There's a berry tree about a half-block from our house that she loves. She calls all berries "deedees" and these are actually mini-crabapples. She picks up two handfuls of deedees from the sidewalk and loves carrying them around. She is now also learning about pockets and how she can store her favorite items in there for later, which comes in handy in these situations.

I looked in at her tonight, sleeping in her crib, and was amazed by how big she seems. Like she's a little girl already, when so recently she was just a tiny baby creature. Now she likes to go 'fast' up the stairs, she helps me carry in groceries, and she can put her own helmet on in the chariot. I guess this feeling of hurtling forward in time is how it goes from here on out?
