Katie and Lina visited during subsequent chunks of the past week. It was so restorative to spend time with old friends and they both took such good care of us, making food, doing laundry and generally adding some order to our lives in this chaotic time. I love them much and feel grateful that they came to stay with us when we really needed them.
During Lina's visit, we took walks, had a little UVM reunion with Emily Steers and Brooke Spencer, and spent quality time at the playground.
During Katie's visit, we ventured out to a weird dining experience, Casa Bonita, a restaurant in a strip mall in Lakewood where there are cliff diving performances inside and the greasy food is served cafeteria style. Sylvie accompanied Jackson and Katie to the zoo, and we did some serious pumpkin decorating.
