Just for the record, Denver is a cow town. We descended on a foreign culture a few weeks ago when we went to the National Western Stock Show at the National Western Complex. People had come from all over the country to show their cows, horses, sheep, and other livestock. The show lasts for two weeks and consists of rodeos, mutton bustin', petting zoos, stock shows, farm games, tractor pulls, and that kind of thing.
The cattle paddocks were most interesting for me -- the stalls were basically cow salons, and each cow traveled with a giant trunk full of products for use on its hide, skin, hooves, ears, and face. Cows were being washed, blown dry, getting hair cuts, and getting styled right in front of us. Even the fur (hair? hide?) on their legs was puffed out so that they looked like giant stuffed animals. They are giant, and surprisingly beautiful.
Understandably unsure.

Cute petting zoo. Greedy goats, pigs, and llamas.
