Our dear friends Marc and Lina are going to have twin boys in about a month, give or take a couple weeks. Lina's shower was this weekend and I was sad not to be there for it. However, with the help of Carla Nagle and her quilting supplies, I was able to make a couple quilts to welcome the babies to world and they made it to the shower despite my absence.
The process was fun; I worked during Sylvan's naps and at night. These are value quilts - they depend more on the value of the fabrics (light/dark) than the pattern. The design of the quilts comes through because of the contrast between light and dark. I'm hoping this concept appeals to baby eyes!
I have done a terrible job of documenting the craft projects I've done the past, and I'm trying to remedy that starting now, so here are pics:
Congratulations, Marc and Lina!

We are so lucky to have you, our quiltress, in our lives! We will cherish these quilts forever and can't wait to cover our boys with them. Love, Marc, Lina, and Babies A & B
