Unbelievably, Sylvie's first birthday is around the corner. This is an exciting milestone for many reasons, not least of which is that she can finally safely ride in the chariot behind a bicycle! It probably could've happened sooner if we had the right head-supporting gear, but we didn't, and so we followed the directions and waiting until now (11 months, close enough) to get her a helmet and start pulling her behind a bike.
Let me tell you - it's fun to pull her! And, she likes it! Instead of looking backwards at a seat back in a car, she's looking forward, at her mom pedaling. What could be better? And she can look out her little windows and watch people and dogs walk past, which is seriously fun.
Sylvie just started a new daycare this week, and it's right on my way to work - about a 15 minute walk from my office. While we won't always be able to bike to daycare and work, the weather is allowing it for now. I love it because we get to go on a little bike ride together at the start and at the end of each workday. I think Sylvie likes it too.
