We flew into Zurich and our first stop was the Berner Oberland. Specifically, lovely Grindelwald and Wengen, both villages at the base of the mighty Jungfrau and the Eiger. When we arrived in Grindelwald, we were exhausted from the terrible American Airlines red-eye flight and the subsequent train ride, but we rallied and took a little hike around the periphery of town. Green, rolling hills fenced in by snowcapped peaks. Cows with bells, wildflowers, gondolas, trails, streams, and Swiss homes. We were happy to be there!

Wanderweg
Kyle and I got back last week from a wonderful weeklong adventure in Switzerland. It was a perfect getaway in the midst of chaos at home. It allowed us a chance to talk about the big changes coming in our lives while hiking and exploring, as opposed to having the conversations at night after long days at work. We have our parents to thank for this excursion, as they generously took Sylvie in and drew, sang, played, explored, ran around, snuggled, and ate with her while we were gone. We are grateful both that they were willing to help us out in this way and that Sylvie was excited to spend the time with them.
