Last days

Our last days in Madison were filled with logistics, lunches, tears, hugs, cleaning, packing, logistics, address changes, scandals (a story for another time), an OB appointment, logistics, packing, planning, giving condiments away and feeling melancholy. The usual, overwhelming, emotional, pre-move stuff.

Some highlights and memories:

We had a fabulous Thai dinner with our friends Jenny and Bobby and Atticus. A picture of Attie and Sylvie dining together is below.

We reminisced about how our house on Hillington Green was the place where Sylvie started to come into her own. It was there that BG evolved into a little girl.

I had a really nice, really sad, lunch with Katie, who I will miss terribly in Denver.

We had a final spur-of-the-moment dinner with Scott, Jean and Kenton.

We had quality time with Kyle's parents, who put us up and spent time with Sylvie during all the packing and box-loading chaos at our place.

Kyle had a great final paddle and beer and cheese hangout with his weekly paddling friends.

We agreed that this neighborhood and the people that we finally found in Madison really made it feel like home.

We will miss this place.
