This summer was the first summer that I have gotten out on Clear Creek, and it has been so fun that I can't believe it's taken me so long. The first time I went was when our friend Kathleen H. was in town, and it was so invigorating! I wanted to do it again and again. I don't have photo documentation of any of my trips down the creek, because they've been on tubes and getting tossed into the current is common, so no phones are allowed. (Or so Ann thought, see below for some documentation from the shore.)
Kyle goes out on his kayak frequently and a couple weeks ago, Sylvie and her friend Elsie went with Elsie's dad, Toby, in their inflatable kayak. So much fun!

On the weekends, the creek is *packed* with tubers. It's a short creek in town, so people tube it, get out, walk back up the creek, and tube it again. Tons of people are hanging out and playing along the banks of the creek. For a Front Range town, there is a great beach culture. Here is a picture of Kyle playing Frogger as a paddler among tubers.
Here's more of Sylvie, Elsie, and Toby, going over a rapid.
We also just play by the creek quite a bit. Throw rocks in, build cairns, splash. It's a fun place to hang out and a really special part of Golden.
Here are a couple of photos I've (Kyle) taken of Ann on her excursions to Clear Creek. Here is Ann and our friend, Sarah, in Toby and Sarah's inflatable kayak. They took a run after Toby and the girls went down.
And then here are a couple pics of Ann and Andrea (grad school friend) and Andrea's friend tubing the creek. Very fun times by all!
