Door County

Katie, Jackson, Sylvan and I went to Door County this weekend! We stayed in Sturgeon Bay, in a house right on Lake Michigan, and had a great time. The weather was so-so - it was hot and rainy on Saturday, and cooler with some sun and some rain on Sunday. Despite that, we played on the beach (Sylvie's first real sandy experience), went to a cool pioneer-like petting zoo (again, firsts with goats, cows, sheep and fowl), and went out to dinner (grown-up fun, while the kids (or, more specifically, my kid) ate messily and chugged water from her sippy cup). The Lake was beautiful, and though it looks like the ocean, the fresh water feels so satisfyingly clean.
